Life...

Has been crazy busy lately. Since my last post we've:

Spent 5 days in Vegas. We were only supposed to go down for the weekend but the truck broke and we ended up getting the whole back end rebuilt. We also say Justin's parents off to Houston. :(

Spent a week in Mesquite with my family. Really it was just my mom, my girls and I for half of the time. My dad was working the corn stand so he only made it down for the weekend. Colby and Cheryl came down for the weekend also but had to head home for work on Tuesday. Ash and Clint and Brady and Danielle couldn't work it into their schedules.

Makenzie had her first illness. An ear infection. It was so sad.

Started pre school! Lexys goes to the school directly across the street from our house 2 days a week for 2 hours and 15 minutes. She is loving it.

Realized fall is here :( and have done lots of yard work. Including cutting down our massive apple tree due to a fungus in the trunk.

Celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary (today!)

I didn't take any pics in Vegas. My mom has all the pics from Mesquite. I do have a pic of Lexys off to school...somewhere. (Yep least organized person on earth here.) So I'll just add a few cute ones of my cute girls and call it a night.

My Girls

Quick update

Makenzie is 11 weeks old now. She just had her 2 month check up yesterday and weighs in at 11 lbs 11 oz 22 in. long. She is growing and maturing WAY faster than I want her to. She can roll from her back to her tummy, but hates being on her tummy and just screams the whole tummy time. I think she needs to put some of that energy into learning how to roll from tummy to back but, well, there is no reasoning with a baby! LOL! She finally will take a binky too. That makes my life a ton easier. She smiles and coos and just loves her daddy (he'll tell you differently because he thinks she wants to lay and cuddle when in reality she wants to be up and see everything) She is still a champion sleeper and I rarely even feel a bit tired, let alone exhausted. She still has a head full of dark hair and she has big beautiful blue eyes. She looks quite a bit like Lexys but is uniquely her in many ways.

Lexys starts pre school in two weeks. She is so excited to go. It is only two days a week for 2 1/2 hours a session but it is right across the street from our house, so getting there shouldn't be a hassle. We went school shopping for the first time. So much fun! We are in trouble as our girls get older. I LOVE to buy them clothes and pretty things. She is also still dancing and loving that. She cut her own hair a few weeks ago and made me cry like a little baby. Her hair is stick straight and fine. It doesn't grow fast. I have been trying to get her to grow it for most of her life. It was finally long enough to put up and make pretty and she chopped it. Then the girl at Great Clips CUT BANGS! I HATE BANGS (no offense to those of you rocking them) She looks like a Beetle, or Justin Beiber (Though I think he may look more like a girl than she does!) Hopefully it will grow fast and be cute again someday.

As for the rest of us we are just trucking along. I am awesome and have lost 30 lbs from my pre pregnancy weight (I lost 13 while pregnant) And am trying to lose more but MAN it's HARD. I nurse Kenzie and find myself STARVING all of the time. I am working out on a regular basis though and that makes for a healthier, if not slimmer me. Justin just works a lot. He did pull a tag for the Bow and Arrow Elk hunt this year so that will be going on in a few weeks. He has also recently taken up golf. I think he just is trying to get away from the craziness that is our house lately.

Sorry I'm not on my computer so I don't have any pics but I'll try to get some of my ADORABLE kids up soon.

I've added a few posts so make sure to scroll down to see them all!

Makenzie Caitlyn

Makenzie Caitlyn was born June 1 at 1:19 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 inches long. My labor was textbook perfect. I couldn't have asked for easier...and that was a for shadow of her personality. She is an easy baby and sleeps so well for me.

I was induced due to m6y doctor going on vacation the next day. They had me come to the hospital at 6:30 a.m. (ugh so early) My parents, Ashlee and Clint came up and took Alexys for the night which made it easy for Justin and I to get up and go. We got to the hospital and as I was changing into my gown my water started leaking. I thought nothing of it at the time. I had never felt my water break before and had no clue really what it felt like. I expected a huge gush.

Anyway we got checked in and hooked up to monitors (I was having very few contractions) then watched the news for two hours until my doctor showed up. He broke my water around 8:30. Nothing happened, no gush, no onset of contractions. He said watch things for an hour and if nothing was happening to start pitocen. (Did I mention I was 5 cm. dilated when we got to the hospital?) So around 9:30 we started pit and I finally started contracting. I was tolerating them pretty well if I do say so myself but the nurse told me whenever I wanted she would call the anesthesiologist to do my epidural. I gave the go ahead about 10:30. He showed up pretty quickly. As he was doing the procedure he was answering questions from Justin and the nursing student who was shadowing my nurse (he was male too!) So the whole thing was explained really well. It was kind of neat. My epi took effect and was PERFECT! I could feel everything and move my own legs but nothing hurt.

About one the head nurse came into my room and informed me that I had to change rooms. The one I was in was sometimes used for c-sections and they had a women trying to do a vbac. Soon after my family came to check on me. They were there for only a few minutes when my nurse kicked them out in order to check me. My doctor walked in soon after, checked me and said 'let's have a baby.' So they got everything set up and I ended up only pushing through 4 contractions. As her head was halfway out doc said 'look at all that hair!' Justin asked if it could just be fuzz or something but nope it is hair!

Honestly if labor and childbirth was that easy every time and for everyone I think people would have tons more kids.

We ended up going home the next day around 7 p.m. So we were in the hospital only 37 hours or so. Makenzie nurses like a champ and LOVES to sleep. She sleeps 4-5 hour chunks for me at night and has from the day she was born.

Lexys LOVES her and wants to hug, hold and kiss her constantly, which makes life hard sometimes as she wakes Kenzie often.

I couldn't be a more proud or lucky mom!

Poor thing had a bruised nose. :(

Not bad for giving birth less than an hour before.

Lex took this one. She got Kenzie the elephant and really wanted her to love on it.

Dancing Queen!

Lex started dance after her birthday. She LOVES her class. She even had her first recital in May...only 6 weeks after starting dance.

They danced to The Cheetah Girls 'Shake Your Tailfeather' from the Chicken Little movie

This is their adorable 'chicken' outfit

They also danced to Beyonce 'Single Ladies' Lex sings it constantly these days.

These last two were after her first dance class.

Someday I may figure out how to rotate the pics. Til then you just have to deal with sideways pics!

Alexys turns 3!

She had another birthday *sob* in March. We ended up going to Vegas again this year. She got spoiled rotten again. She asked for a Spongebob cake and got two! One in Vegas with Justin's family and a second in Payson with my family.

I can't believe she is 3 already! Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday she was my brand new baby.

Hopefully I can find (or coerce someone to send me) some pics and I'll add them when I can.
